There are four Luxury Chalets at the Cape Town lodge. Each features an honesty bar, safe, satellite television and of course all units are air-conditioned to keep the African heat at bay. In the cold winter nights a bio-fuel fireplace will keep you warm and cosy. The communal roof terraces are ideal for sundowners at dusk and working on your tan during the day. Each pair of Luxury Chalets shares a terrace, providing the perfect opportunity to meet fellow travellers and share your safari experiences.
Bonus Features of a Luxury Chalet at a Cape Town Lodge
The highlight of booking a Luxury Chalet is getting the chance to meet a cheetah. Cape Cheetah will pay you a visit, bringing their tame cheetahs with them for you to meet. Interactions may take place at the Luxury Chalet or you could be driven out to a remote part of the game reserve to walk with the cheetah in the wild. It all depends on the cheetah’s mood. The handlers are there to guide the interaction and tell you more about the conservation of this big cat, and their work at the cheetah rescue and rehabilitation centre.
Upon your arrival you will receive a welcome drink from the friendly staff and all your meals are included as well. These are typically served outside, but should the weather not play along you will be served in the dining room, with the fireplace roaring to life in winter. The safaris are included in the deal as well, one at sunset and another at sunrise the next day. After the sunrise safari you will get the chance to watch cheetahs run. As they are the fastest living land animals in the world, this is not something you want to miss.
A Warm Welcome to Africa
You are also able to witness the spectacular display of stars at night, either from the comfort of your veranda or from the rooftop terrace. The large, airy bathrooms have corner bathtubs and a shower, and the friendly staff replenish them daily with clean towels and bathrobes, while making sure your honesty bar is always stocked with cold drinks.
Besides the cheetahs, you may also get the amazing chance to see two very big, baby rhinos. These rescued rhinos live in the rhino orphanage at the Cape Town lodge, which is located right in front of the Luxury Chalets. Boasting five stars, you are sure to receive excellent service and hospitality, while the vast open spaces will welcome you with open arms, enveloping you in its warm African embrace.
