A Family Safari Holiday at a Luxury Lodge
There are two Guest Houses at the luxury lodge. These are old farmsteads that have been on the game reserve since its days, in decades past, as a farm and have been renovated to accommodate the discerning traveller. They are particularly well-suited for families and big groups. Both Guest Houses are air-conditioned to stave off the sizzling Karoo heat, and feature en-suite bathrooms.
The first Guest House has a big, communal lounge which is perfect for gathering with friends or even strangers and swapping safari stories and other great travel recollections. With a blazing fireplace in winter, the ambience is perfect for fireside chats. An indoor veranda is a quiet retreat for guests, with a view overlooking the reception area, which is nestled in the Succulent Garden.
The second Guest House has an intimate lounge, as well as verandas hidden under the sweeping branches of trees. The lounge has a fireplace and two of the bedrooms are inter-leading, making it the perfect option for families with young children. This guest house leads into the Succulent Garden, and the bright, green grass is perfect for the children to play on and perhaps even catch a glimpse of a cheetah going on its daily walk.
Relax in a Safari Guest House
The rooms are spacious with plenty of cupboard space and the stylish bathrooms have all been recently renovated. The rooms are quaintly decorated with African artefacts and wildlife portraits. The swimming pool and TV lounge are within easy walking distance and there are many great spots in the shade to enjoy a drink or a chat with a friend.
The Guest House package includes all meals and two safaris. These take place just before the sun goes down, and the following one as the sun rises. During these safaris you could spot a myriad of species from hippos and giraffes to zebras and various antelope – and be sure to keep your eyes peeled for the Big Five. As soon as you arrive for your stay you will be warmly greeted by the staff who will serve you with a cool welcome drink after your drive from Cape Town.
To cap the perfect safari experience, why not book a cheetah interaction? You can meet one of the cheetahs that reside at the lodge, walking with them, giving them water and learning more about this magnificent big cat. This luxury lodge accommodation option is a versatile and exciting one, with lots of opportunities whether it is a great family holiday, a fantastic safari getaway with friends or a team gathering, giving everyone a break from both the city and the office.
